For a normal man who don't know the real God, but just a god out there somewhere and learn about ghosts, Dracula, zombie and the what not. Death is just an exit or an escape and a Full Stop!!!
For they have no knowledge of the Spiritual Realm!!!
We, man, there is a body, soul and a spirit!!! You won't stop existing just because your body is dead!!! Your soul and spirit cannot die, except by the Lake of Fire in the Final Judgment by JESUS!!!
Those who has accepted or believe in Christ JESUS, when they sleep, the Holy Spirit in them will lead the soul back to heaven. As the sin debt is judged in JESUS at the Cross 2000 years ago. His Blood washed you whiter than snow upon accepting of Him as Their Saviour!!!
So by the Righteouness of God, Heaven opens His Door to you as JESUS is the Door and the Way.
Those that did not accept Christ, as Holy Spirit is not with them, God has no right to take them.
Devil will tempt them to the path of Hell to torture them.
As we are made in God's image, Lucifer is not happy that the Blood of JESUS defeated him and He was thrown from Heaven to earth!!! He vented his angry on those man who did know they were from God, but did not accept JESUS work at the cross for themselves.
So devil take the opportunity to vent his anger on them and torture them!!!
It just like those girlfriends of ex, when they want marriage but ex don't want, they vent their anger on ex but ex has a strong write off attitude that they could not hurt him. So one destroyed Jc's birth certificate and another tried to make nasty remark to hurt her!!!
I was at looking at the wisdom of MM Lee words posted on a blog linked by Mdm Ho Ching. He said he hoped to see his wife again but since he doesn't really believe there is a God, he believed man would stop existing upon death!!!
But the biggest reunion after death is, if you have accepted Christ, all that are linked to your blood and had accepted Christ, including the child you lost or aborted, will come to welcome you!!!
The bible said Heaven no marriage, but couple on earth will have a certain closeness and being put next to each other, in their own mansion!
That's why me and Su wanted our parents to accept Christ and prayed to Lord to open a way for them. Glory Glory!!! Now they are together in Heaven!!!
It's not by the number layers of clothes one wear upon death, nor by the chanting of prayer and walking around man made structure!!!
If such could lead one to Heaven, JESUS, The Son in the God, as 3 in 1, need not come down to die for us!!!
It is because we can't that He need to come down to be Judged for us and died our death!!! So that we could take His Righteousness of God through Him, to be accessible to Heaven!!!
That was why, no matter how my mum's funeral was conducted, I hack care as it is not by man's effort that can open the way to Heaven. Man don't have such power nor ability!!!
PS:
I pray that the descendants of MM Lee that accepted Christ had prayed for JESUS interception of Mrs MM Lee and MM Lee to accept Christ! Especially Mrs MM Lee so that she could wait for him in Heaven. Just like my dad waited for my mum!!! Lord, I pray for Your Mercy!!! Seeing him so loving his wife, I pray for Your Interception as You work outside time!!!! In the Name of JESUS, I pray!!!
