God is Your Refuge

I just completed reading the book of Deuteronomy. There is a sharing about Daddy God that I would like to share with you. What it commented on Daddy God is true, as that’s my daily walk with Jesus. Here it goes:

Deuteronomy 33 ‘There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty. The eternal God id your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms…Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword’ (Deuteronomy 33:26-27, 29).

What an amazing picture! God rides on the heavens to help you. He is your refuge. His arms are holding you up, no matter how heavy your load, how difficult your circumstances, or how strong your fears. God not only fights for you but also provides you with a safe refuge. He actually fights in your place whole you rest in the safety He gives. He shields you, saves you, and gain victory for you.

As you pray, ask God to show you how this passage applies to your life right now. Think specific challenges you face. Picture yourself in His loving protection as He fights your battles for you. Don’t try to face your challenges alone. God doesn’t want that. Whenever you try to go out on your own strength, He is grieved because you are not allowing Him to do for you all that He longs to do. He is grieved because you make yourself more vulnerable to Satan’s attack. Every time you ask God for help, He will rush to your side, and the enemy will be forced to flee from you.

Recently, I was searching to see if there is any information on Pastor Mark on the web that I came upon this blog that compares New Creations Church (NCC) to City Harvest (CH). As I continue reading, the author was writing about my Pastor, Pastor Prince, from NCC was preaching too much Grace, the so called “unbalance”, while CH has balanced Grace Message with Law message.

He would go to his church for the morning service and come to NCC for the afternoon service. From his disclose on the blog, I can see that he thought that God blessing is no longer exist. I could see that He is trying to understand God, but the more books and mixture of message he is receiving, he got into too much trying to analyze God that he does not know how to come close to God.

I was sharing about him to WK. WK told me that he was like the previous her. WK said that she had moved from her old church to NCC for 3-4 years. She felt bad to leave the old cell group. So, she would attend service from NCC and attend the old cell group meeting. From these 2 sources, she got confused message that keep her a distance from God. She said that she decided to drop the old cell group and to trust the Grace of God fully around the time I newly became Christian. She said that it was then that more blessings came upon her and she could feel the love of Daddy God. Praise the Lord!

WK made a interesting remarks. She said that, she didn’t listen to the ex-church sermon, just going to the cell group, she already felt so confused. This guy, who goes for his church service on Law; how to do good to get bless, and then come to NCC to listen to the Grace message, to believe the Lord and He would bless us undeserving favours, will be more confuse than her.

Yes, I agree with WK, from reading his blog, I don’t find the joy of the Lord in there. No wonder he thought that Daddy God no longer blessing us. Hope he believe in the bible, where Lord God said that He does not like the old, Moses covenant. He wants us to go for the new covenant; He wrote that the only task we need to do is to believe in Jesus, can be found in Book of John.

Father God, not by power, not by might, but by your spirit, may you lead this child of God back to you. I pray in Jesus Name, Amen.
