In life, there are many things that can lead us away from Jesus. Life is such that it is imperfect. There is no way we could fully get away from trouble. Even in the nature we could think positive to remain peaceful and happy, but it is still not possible to get that peace. There is surely something for you to worry, concern.
A certain rich ruler boasted to Jesus that he had kept all the demands of the Law. He was so pleased with himself, but when you boasted of self, Jesus will come and say ONE THING you lack! Luke 18:22-23 'When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack ONE THING. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come follow me.”
When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was a man of great wealth.' Many a time, when Jesus was being preaching, man looked to what they have and they rejected the goodness of Jesus! But hear what Jesus said!
Luke 19:24-25 'Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God,”' When we are in our pride, it is hard for the Grace of Jesus to touch our heart! But this is what Jesus promise to us:
Luke 19:29-30 '”I tell you the truth,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children For the Sake of God will fail to receive MANY TIMES as much in this age and in the age to come, eternal life.”' Are we dare to let go of everything to receive this eternal life? Is there many things in your life that are of concern to you? Are you able to do that ONE THING?
In the natural, Martha did what socially correct, but this led to stress and she complained to Lord Jesus! Luke 10:41-42 '”Martha. Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but Only ONE THING is needed, Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”'
'Luke 10:40 'Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made', but Jesus said the ONE THING Needed is listening to Him! Have you been listening to the revealing about Jesus from Pastor Prince sermons? It was this that got me to listen tentatively to the sermons; many of them each day!
This is what Lord said about after listening His Words:
Luke 6:46-48 '”Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord', and do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and put them into practise. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on the rock. When flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.”'
This is what I did, when Lord said don't worry, I cast all worries to Him and remain in His Peace. He is just a prayer away. He always helped me whatever I prayed!
This is what the Lord said about those that is not doer of His Words:
Luke 6:49 '”But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who build a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collaped and its destruction was complete.”'
Walking with Jesus is actually pretty easy. The thing to do is to believe! That's what He said in John 6, surely it is not that difficult. As long as you used a sincere heart to hear Him and believe, and walk in His Peace, by casting all worries to Him, as you keep listening to His Words, you will arise in Him that without efforts, He arises in you and you are usable! Glory Glory! Amen Amen!
