Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven

Sunday sermon was pretty good. Pastor Prince shared that we are to pray to Father God that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Pastor Prince was talking about the transfiguration on the holy mountain. Luke 9:29 As Lord Jesus was praying, the appearance of His face changed, and His clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. He told us that those who lead prayer are those who will be glorify and honor.

Luke 9:30-31 Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem. From verse 30, you can see that Moses and Elijah, are like friends with Jesus. They are the one talking with Jesus, not Jesus talking to them (top talk down).

From the way Moses and Elijah talking to Jesus and my dad moving off with the angel of death in a happy mood and like friends, I can feel that heaven is a very friendly place. :D Like Su the other shared, they have no misery and bad feeling, that’s why those of us that gone there would ‘forget’ about the unhappiness on earth and don’t want to return, for peace, joy and love are the feeling of heaven.

I have never registered in my brain what Moses, Elijah and Jesus talk about till Sunday when Pastor shared that they were talking Luke 9:31 ‘about his (Jesus) departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem.’ I was amazed that Lord Jesus, even though He knew He was to do the will of the Father, His purpose on earth is to be the Sacrifice Lamb for the human race, yet He was not troubled nor be afraid. He was glorified as Peter, John and James saw Him.

In the old covenant, the priest could only enter the Holy of Holy once a year. Holy of Holy was where Lord God, in the form of a cloud, dwelled. Luke 9:34-35 ‘While he (Peter) was talking (nonsense), a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.”’ With Jesus, Peter, John and James could come close to God. Praise the Lord!

Matthew 17:6-7 ‘When the disciples heard this, they fell face down to the ground, terrified. But Jesus came and touched them, “Get up,” he said, “Don’t be afraid.” When Daddy God commanded Peter and companions to hear from Jesus, the first words out of Jesus was to “get up” and “don’t be afraid”. Brothers and sisters in Christ, Lord telling us we could stand in His presence and we are not to be afraid of Him. Praise the Lord!

Lord Jesus, thank You for opening the way to heaven for us, to come boldly and thank You for letting us know that we need not be afraid; we are to be in peace, joy and love on Judgment Day. Amen!
