Burnt Offering

As I am starting on Leviticus, so I listened to Pastor Prince 4th July 2002 sermon on “Jesus The Burnt Offering – Understand the 3 Grades.” to get a better understanding of the burnt offering.

Burnt Offering is about Jesus obedient and devotedness to Father God to be our covenant for our sin. To Father God, Lord Jesus is perfect, satisfaction and joy. He has given us His perfect standing with Daddy God. Through His sacrifice, we get All the Goodness that is in Him; His Righteousness, Wisdom, Holiness and Salvation. Praise the Lord!

The Altar of burnt offering has 4 sides, just like Jesus on the cross, 4 sides; He is our atonement no matter where we are, north, south, east and west of the world.

The sprinkle of blood against the altar on all side means God claims on Man. The blood speaks of every single claims on Man is met by Jesus. We are to identified with Him and claim every goodness Lord has provided us.

The skinning and cutting the animal that is being offered, the internal organs will be exposed. Father God wants us to see the fully God and fully Human being Jesus. He has human feeling that is fully glorified.

The inner body parts:

1) Head – Thoughts of Jesus. All the thoughts of Jesus to the Father are perfect. God accepted on His behalf.

2) Fats – Jesus inward energy.

3) Kidneys – Feelings or the rein of our mind. That is why when under stress, our bowel is affected.

Jesus perfect walk on earth covered our walk with God. Jesus’ inside covers our inside. All he did is to make atonement, covering for us. Burnt offering sent a sweet aroma of Jesus to Father God. :D

The north side in the bible speaks of judgment, evil. That’s why the bull and lamb were slaughtered in the north side of the altar before the Lord. Lord Jesus died in Calvary, at the north of Jerusalem, to stop evil from coming. Praise the Lord.

The 3 grades of animal offering

1) young bull,

2) sheep or goat

3) a dove or a young pigeon

Refer to the 3 revelation, appreciation of Jesus by believers. There is no leveling of acceptance for we are all accepted into Christ based on the perfect work of Christ Jesus. The revelation of Jesus affects our enjoyment on earth. It does not affect our salvation. Whatever our faith is, once we accepted Christ, our name is written in the Book of the Lamb, so when we die we will go to heaven and not hell. Praise the Lord! The richer you are spiritually, you will offer a bull, which mean soul prospering --> health prospering --> material prospering.

Peace with God --> Peace of God --> guard our mind

Peace inside --> Peace outside --> health

The Differences:

(1) Animal:

Bull – Strong to labour, Jesus a tireless person.

Lamb – Passive, Submissive

Dove – Innocence

(2) Laying of Hand

He does lay his hand on the head of bull or lamb. This act identify him with Jesus --> Whatever Lord Jesus did is his.

(3) Blood – Appreciation of the blood

The blood of bull and lamb is enough to cover whole of altar. He believed that Lord Jesus has done a perfect work at the cross for him. The blood of bird is only enough to sprinkle on 1 side of the altar. One sees the value of the blood, the other do not see it.

(4) Cut into pieces – head, fats, inner parts and legs

Only bull and lamb are cut but not the bird. He, who offers bull or lamb, knows of Jesus thoughts, inward feelings and His walk.

(5) He, who brings bull or lamb, lay hand and kills it. He, who brings dove, priest handle it and remove its feathers. This act speaks of believer say prayer with many unnecessary things.

Lord Jesus, Thanks You for willingly lay down Your life and go to cross to die for me. I thank You that I am now wholesome and healthy because of Your One Act that perfected the work. I can now come boldly to Daddy God. Praise You for being such a caring and almighty God! Amen!
